Who We Are

Our Story

Badger Fishing started with frustration on the water, shortened seasons, early closures, and no clear answers as to why. Like most anglers, we were told to trust the process, but the more we looked into it, the harder it was to find complete and understandable information about what’s actually driving these decisions. That led to digging deeper through research, public records requests, and breaking down complex fisheries data that most people never see. Along the way it became clear this isn’t just about fish, it’s about transparency, accountability, and making sure everyone operates under the same expectations. Badger Fishing isn’t about creating division, there are people across every part of this system doing important work, especially in conservation, but when information is difficult to access or understand it creates confusion and mistrust. This platform exists to bring clarity to a complicated fishery, make data accessible, and give anglers a place to understand what’s really happening, because informed anglers are empowered, and when people come together around facts, real progress can happen.
